No destination receives more of our apostilles than Mexico. The standard flows: U.S. birth certificates apostilled for registering dual citizenship at the registro civil; powers of attorney notarized, apostilled, and translated for property purchases and family representation; school records for children relocating; and U.S. marriage or death certificates for inheritance and civil processes. Each Mexican receiving office — registro civil, notaría, SEP for school matters — has expectations we already know.
Sequencing matters: Mexican authorities need the Spanish translation to cover the apostille page too, so apostille comes first, translation second. Some states and notarías additionally require a local perito traductor — we tell you when yours does, so you never pay for a translation that won't be accepted.
